Hi I’m Emma Yule (27) I’m originally from a small town in the Manawatū called Feilding and I’m studying a bachelor of chiropractic at NZCC graduating November 2025.
Techniques I’m proficient in are Diversified, activator, upper cervical specific, drop assist, Gonstead and c my current elective is Thompson technique. I am interested in learning other techniques such as SOT, NET, Blair technique and more. I would love to explore these other techniques with chiropractors who utilise this type of adjusting. I am particularly interested in how these techniques can be adapted to suit individual presentations and support each patient’s unique goals.
My approach to care is mainly vitalistic with a focus on wellness and maintenance care. With appropriate patient education about how we can work as a team to gain the best results from chiropractic care. With my current practice base I have strong rapport with each of my practice members. I believe that building rapport helps to gain more patient education and builds the ability to work as a team when it comes to care. I am open to all practice bases and types, I would love the opportunity to gain more experience with paediatric and pregnancy, as my current practice base in the centre consists from a range of 20-67 years old.
My experience with patient volume since CP2 I have gained 36 new patients and over 700 regular adjusting visits. My current practice base consists of around 24 patients. Appointments in the chiropractic centre run at 15 minutes at a time, which I am comfortable with staying within that timeframe. I have experience with back-back shifts where on average I currently see 8-14 people during my shifts. I have had the opportunity to do the coke externship, I have gained more skills with time management and better refined my manual adjusting. When in practice, I wish to have the option to tailor appointment time based on patients needs.
As I’m coming to the end of my final year of this degree, my goal for this career fair is to connect with different clinics and chiropractors across New Zealand and Australia who value diverse approaches to care, mentorship, and a collaborative team environment focusing on patient oriented care. My expectations for work-life balance is to keep learning and put in the work to support my practice base, but I also think its important to have time to switch off and be with friends and family, to avoid burnout and help me keep my mind clear to give the
best care I can. I don’t have any specific preferences to what days and times the shifts would be.
I am looking forward to meeting you all and hearing about your practices ☺️
