Hi, I’m Sophie, a bubbly, outgoing and deeply passionate 5th year chiropractic intern with a strong drive to help people of all walks of life reach their full health potential. My journey into chiropractic began from a very personal place: I was diagnosed with scoliosis as a 13-year-old active dancer and made the empowering decision to pursue a natural, non-surgical path to healing. That experience opened my eyes to the life-changing potential of chiropractic care, and ever since, I’ve been committed to helping others discover that same freedom and vitality.

I practise using Diversified, Gonstead, Activator, Drop and am looking forward to learning SOT this coming final semester. I believe in using whatever technique suits the patient. I was first adjusted using McTimoney technique, which gave me an appreciation for lighter force techniques. I have a keen interest to learn this technique along with NSA. I am proud to say I do a lot of communication in my practice. I value my practice members knowing the importance of the nervous system function and how a subluxation can affect that function.

I have a particular passion for working with pregnant mums and babies. I’ve been lucky enough to spend time adjusting in teen parent units across Auckland, gaining valuable hands-on experience with infants and mothers alike. I am confident adjusting babies manually, as-well as using activator if needed. The youngest baby I’ve adjusted was just one week old, and the oldest person I’ve manually adjusted was 81. I genuinely love the challenge and reward of adapting my care to the unique needs of each patient.

I’ve had the privilege of taking part in a chiropractic mission trip to Rarotonga, an experience that pushed me beyond my comfort zone and strengthened both my clinical and interpersonal skills. I’ve also completed an 8-week externship at Coca-Cola, where I worked with a wide range of professionals, helping them function better in physically and mentally demanding environments.

So far in my internship, I’ve seen 50 new patients and delivered over 800 regular adjustments. I thrive in busy environments, and I bring a high level of care, energy, and enthusiasm to every person who walks through the door because I agree with the statement of “When never know how far reaching something we may think say or do today will affect the lives of millions tomorrow” . In the clinic on average, I see 18-24 people a week. I am looking for a high-volume practice to improve the lives of as many people as possible, as well as growing my skills.

I’m always seeking new opportunities to grow, connect, and make a difference. I can’t wait to join a team where I can contribute to a shared mission of helping people live healthier and happier lives. Please feel free to contact me on 0273571134 or Soph.cleggbusiness@icloud.com. Thank you.
