1. Candidate Overview
● Full Name: Pauline Louette (38-year-old, Belgian, native language French, NZ permanent resident since 2017).
● Chiropractic Education & Graduation Year: November 2025.
● Current or Most Recent Position (if applicable): Volunteers and Day group coordinator at Harbour Hospice, 2019.
● Techniques Proficient in: Diversified, Activator protocol, basic Gonstead, Upper cervical toggle, Thompson (next semester NZCC paper), NET (one day training), Blair upper cervical specific (3 days training).
● Interested in Learning: SOT, AK, NSA, paediatrics.
● Practice Philosophy & Approach to Patient Care: My current patient base is people between the ages of 30 and 60. I would love to support babies, kids and pregnant mums with a more extended training. I believe in the third paradigm, that everyone is better off subluxation free. I see chiropractic as a proactive and optimising approach to health. I believe regular care makes miracle happen where health was lost, and that it can enhance neurological function and make healthy people’s life better.
2. Clinical Skills & Patient Care
● Areas of Special Interest (if any): no specific at present.
● Experience with Patient Volume (if any): Since CP2, I’ve welcomed 38 new patients and completed a total of 428 visits. My current PVA in CP3 is 12.8 (up from 5.6 in CP2). I observed high volume practices and enjoyed my experience. My time management though needs refining. When in practice, I wish to tailor appointment time based on practice members needs eg if they respond better to a technique that requires more time on the table (SOT block for example), or if they need a reassessment due to their response to care. But I also intend to get busy, so this is something I need to refine.
● Comfort Level with Adjusting Different Patient Types: I am yet to adjust an infant or child, I am amazed by the touch and hold effects of adjustment on infants. I am confident
adapting my force and technique based on individual needs, assessment findings and presentation on the day.
● Approach to Patient Education & Engagement: I believe they are key to care. I adapt my communication based on people’s motivation, goals and history while using the clinical findings to support care. I celebrate small or large success while always paving for the long haul. I follow up on missed appointment and people dropping out of care. I like to empower people in their choices, even if their choice is to go see another chiropractor or to stop care. In the later case, I will make sure to mention all other health option they have and encourage them towards health practices.
3. Professional Development & Career Growth
● Any Additional Certifications or Courses Undertaken:

4. Team & Workplace Preferences
● Preferred Work Environment & Clinic Culture: Genuine joy on site, smooth processes and organisation, fun and humour, intervision and support, a desire to mentor me in my beginning, involved in the local community, a desire to inspire practice members and for mastery in practice. I am comfortable working out of private rooms or in an open plan.
● Experience Working in a Team Setting (if any): Multiple work experience as an employee part of a multi-disciplinary team in the social sector. I was a CA for one year in 2017 for a small team practice (this started my chiropractic journey).
● Communication & Interpersonal Skills: My professional background and extensive travel experience helped me developing good skills with wide range of people. I have been told I am kind and patient. I am also assertive and confident.
5. Personal & Lifestyle Considerations
● Preferred Location & Willingness to Relocate: My ideal location is in the South Island, or anywhere but Auckland. Finding the right place is more important than the location, I can easily relocate.
● Work-Life Balance Expectations: In the short term I wish to be busy to hone my manual adjusting and clinical skills and get my student loan out of the way as soon as possible. In the longer term, I would love to work between 20 to 30 hours per week, spending the rest of my time growing vegetables in my garden and teaching yoga.
