He practised at Chiropractic House, serving the communities of Palmerston North between 1999 and 2015. Dr Norwood purchased a practice in Mount Maunganui in 2015. His wife Rosemary is also a chiropractor and NZCC graduate and they have two active young boys.

He joined the Board because he says it feels that it is the right time to give something back to the profession that has served him well. Dr Norwood says, “the College is a fantastic institution that is developing exceptional and very talented chiropractors. I have had many graduates join me as Associates and I have seen first-hand the quality coming out of the College.”

He has watched the journey the College has taken, including the trials and tribulations, to develop to what is now considered the flagship for chiropractic education worldwide. Dr Norwood says this is something he is proud of and he is excited to be part of a team that is driven to make the College even better than it is today.

He is keen to be a part of the influence in how chiropractic is taught and delivered in New Zealand and potentially the influence the College has around the world and says this is an exciting prospect and he is looking forward to the journey.
