The New Zealand College of Chiropractic and the chiropractic profession lost a good friend last Wednesday. Long-time Board of Trustee, Mike Loftus, passed away at the young age of 49 after losing his battle with cancer. He has served as a trustee since 2009. Mike, always the entrepreneur, brought innovative thinking and passion to the Board and he loved the College and chiropractic.

Never one to sit back, Mike launched a local body political party after his diagnosis and was active at the College until a few weeks before his death. Always the optimist, Mike was determined that he would make the most of the time he had left. You can read about Mike and his ‘live now’ philosophy of a terminally ill man. We celebrate his life and honour his contribution.
