The New Zealand College of Chiropractic is proud to announce its achievement of Category 1 rating following its recent review from NZQA (New Zealand Qualifications Authority). This is the highest possible rating from NZQA and the accreditation report had no recommendations for the College - this in itself is an outstanding achievement.
NZQA is responsible for the quality assurance of education providers and their review concluded that the NZQA is highly confident in the College’s educational performance and self-assessment.
Dr Phil McMaster, President and one of the founders of the College, commented on the NZQA accreditation report by saying "this is an outstanding achievement by students, staff, faculty, the Board of Trustees and the valued stakeholders that have supported the College for many years. With this excellent result in mind, the College will continue to lead chiropractic education and set the standards worldwide."
In the accreditation report by NZQA, among the seven categories, the College rated excellence in all.
NZQA also made special mention of the College’s effective learning environments, participation in research by staff and students, excellent course and qualification completion rates and strong connections with the profession.
Upon receiving this accreditation report, Dr Marina Fox, Dean of Academics, was first to acknowledge that "this achievement is a result of several years of continuous improvement and teamwork across every area of the College."
The College, driven by its commitment to its mission of graduating the world’s best chiropractors, is recognised for its evidence-based curriculum highlighting the philosophy, art and science of chiropractic.
In 2016, the College also achieved the maximum accreditation awarded to a chiropractic college by the Council of Chiropractic Education Australasia.
